The lecturer was average...kept the sessions short approximately one hour. Each week you had to answer all the questions at the end of the relevant chapter which was reviewed in the tutorial...it amounted to about 120 questions and he chose from these for the exam (A bit of a lazy approach). The group debate was marked on your ability to debate and follow a debating format as well as content so If you have no debating experience as I did....you could be in some strife. My group was horrible and did not finish the PP until 7 minutes before we were due and even if the group does not do an activity together for the presentation you should still do one on your own since I got marked down for this by the tutor. The individual assignment to interview a business owner/senior manager of a business that fit a specific criteria was frustrating. I got marked down because the person I interviewed did not give out financial information and certain content they wanted...like nature of partnerships etc...Even though I stated in my assignment that I had to use industry data and extrapolate because of lack of disclosure, I was still marked down and my grade was not reviewed. Covered all the theories needed in order to understand how to grow an organisation and make decisions about an organisations future. The assignment was OK - the first assignment was a group presentation with a self-reflection and the second one was an assignment to put a growth plan in place and you could pretty much choose whatever company you wanted to do, which is great because I just applied it to the company I was already working for. Lots of content covered in this course, so you need to make sure you understand everything to get a good mark.
