This course was so interesting! Ruth is such an engaging lecturer. I would say though that the course is VERY dense, and you're required to remember a lot of theorists and dates and apply those theories. I would highly recommend this course though! Make sure to take sufficient notes every class and stay on top of the readings for best results.

I loved this course and it has been one of my favourites I’ve taken. The lecturer and the tutors were extremely approachable and friendly and they really discussed the course content in a way that was easy to understand. Assignment briefs could be a bit unclear at times and the lecture notes were really jam packed so it did make it difficult to take notes. However, this course made me reconsider all my preconceived notions of crime and directed me to a career path that interested me. The assignments were always interesting (however unclear the briefs were). I would definitely recommend taking this course.

Ruth was a WONDERFUL lecturer. So organised, prepared, funny, and got the most out of every class. Slides and delivery were always well structured which just makes note taking and learning so much easier in my opinion. The content was kind of challenging but so interesting.
