Good lecturers and easy to understand content

Interesting unit - definitely helps if you already had a background in biology because there is a fairly large amount of content.

There's a lot of content to get through so you definitely need to stay on top of things, but throughout the semester it's fairly easy to get marks as a lot of the marks are allocated to online open book quizzes. The exam was no where near as easy though. The labs are a little frantic as the lab documents can get confusing and there's a fair bit to get through in each lab but the lab instructors are helpful when you get stuck. The lecturers are pretty good also in the way they explain things in different ways if you don't understand.

The course is certainly fast-paced, however the online study modules and online assignments makes completing the work a fair bit easier. You will be much more successful in the assignments if you purchase the (very expensive) textbook as the diagrams and questions come straight from the text.
