My name is George Idiculla. I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a 1st Class Honours in a Bachelors of Science in 2021. I am a Medical Student at Deakin University. I am offering tutoring for both GAMSAT S2 and the Medical school Interviews. GAMSAT SII: After spending countless hours on preparing for S2 and sitting through multiple GAMSATs, I feel an obligation to share the knowledge and tips I have learned along the way. GAMSAT SII tends to be a section that many cannot figure out how to score highly in. It is not a multiple choice section that requires you to answer questions from a posited stem of information. Rather, it is a unique section that allows you to explore the intricacies of a prompt according to your beliefs, understandings and views of both Society as well as Self. It is a section that directly assesses your capacity to write concisely yet thought-provokingly. Like many candidates, I entered the rabbit hole that is S2 and how to achieve a score that I would be satisfied with. There were many things I picked up along the way that has consistently worked for not only my sitting, but multiple other students. I would say these battle-tested techniques are what handed me a 74 in S2. My goal is to guide you along a path that EMPOWERS you to discover your unique writing style whilst MAXIMISING techniques that tend to prove effective in attaining HIGH SCORES. MEDICAL SCHOOL INTERVIEWS: After my experience of 6 Medical school Interviews, including Panel and MMI styles, for Medical Programs such as James Cook University, Bond University, Macquarie University, and University of Queensland, I have garnered an extensive knowledge base in regards to the interview technique. Interviews are notoriously weighted in most Universities and thus, play a large part in your chances of securing a final offer. For most, it can make or break your chances at an offer. Despite not having above average GPA or GAMSAT scores entering into the interview, I came out with a CSP where a lot of people who had scored higher than me pre-interview were rejected. As a result, your interview is PIVOTAL. However, clearing the interview is much more than directly stating the 'right answer' - this is only a portion of an excellent performance. Utilising my expertise around the interviews and the techniques I have fostered through numerous attempts and hours spent, I will tailor lessons specifically around how YOU can clearly show yourself as an outstanding medical school candidate during your interviews. This is an art, a skill, that needs great effort to perfect especially for those, like myself, who may initially feel nervous or anxious in interview settings. It does not matter what your starting point is, everyone has the capability to improve in their interviews to secure that final medical offer. Lessons for both Medical school interviews and GAMSAT S2 will be 1-on-1 (online or in person) so I can provide targeted and direct feedback that applies for your SPECIFIC needs. Experience: - Current Tutor at Kumon Centre for Maths and English - 2023: 3/5 students that took 5+ lessons received Medical School Offers around Australia Qualifications: - GPA: 6.82 - GAMSAT Overall 71: (SII 74) - Bachelor of Science (UniMelb) First Class Honours - CSP Medical Student at Deakin University

George was instrumental in helping me develop my empathy skills for MMIs, which became one of the strongest aspects of my interview approach. He worked closely with me to streamline strategies and methods that suited my personal style, allowing me to naturally express empathy in my responses without feeling forced. His guidance helped me understand how to connect with patients’ perspectives and convey genuine compassion in my answers. I left each session feeling more confident in my ability to apply these strategies effectively, and I highly recommend George for anyone looking to refine their empathy skills for MMIs!

George was an excellent tutor and greatly helped me prepare for my medicine interview at University of Melbourne. Compared to other tutors, I found George’s feedback to be quite specific and precise. He provided a lot of tools which I found gave me more concrete things to work on and include in my answers. He also provided notes from each lesson which let me easily go back through past feedback. I appreciated him being flexible around my schedule. Overall, I could not ask for much more and I thank George for all his help.

I approached George before getting my interview and after working with him for various lessons, George was able to pass all his skills and tips for the MMI. When it came to the day of the interview, I had realised how helpful our sessions had been and it had prepared me for this big day. He is extremely kind and attentive to his students, taking in their feedback and working on the students weaknesses. Couldn't be any happier with having George help me for my MMI interview.
