UQ Science Tutor Lachlan

Hi, I'm Lachie and I'm currently finishing up my PhD in theoretical physics (quantum time travel) at UQ! I have a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours Class I, major in physics). My official UQ tutoring history is as follows: PHYS1001 (laboratories): 2019, 2020. PHYS2100: 2020, 2021. PHYS3051 (tutorials): 2020, 2021, 2022 (advanced class tutor), 2023 (lead tutor). I have been actively tutoring secondary school students since 2017, and have also been involved in the Indigenous tutoring (ITAR) program at UQ. Tutoring at UQ has always been a very rewarding and fun experience, and I feel like just about every student I've interacted with has responded positively to my friendly and easy-going style. I'm available for tutoring in 2024 and would be happy to assist you! I'm happy to tutor online or offline (St. Lucia only), individually or to a group (discount - $40 per person!), and work best if questions or context are sent through beforehand so I can prepare and assist you to the best of my ability. I can also proofread your work, give assignment tips, help out with Python, MATLAB, and LaTeX programming, and will be glad to answer any other questions related to physics courses at UQ, the PhD program, and (theoretical) physics in general! :)
