Hey there! I'm Gabe :) I've received offers for both Doctor of Medicine (CSP) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (CSP) despite a low GPA, thanks to my GAMSAT score (74 overall). I tutor for GAMSAT section II (SII: 80. 100th %tile). I've received offers for both Doctor of Medicine (CSP) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (CSP) despite a low GPA, thanks to my GAMSAT score (74 overall). I'm not a born writer - I only got 38 in VCE English... pretty strange that I'm on here advertising myself as a GAMSAT writing tutor!? HOWEVER: SII is probably the most improvable section for the GAMSAT - If even I can succeed, I'm confident that I'll be able to guide you to do so too! In my preparation for the GAMSAT I wrote countless practice essays, gaining feedback and criticism from MANY tutors, I have refined and refined my writing style, ending up with an 80 in SII, which helped get me multiple CSP offers at UoM. I know what makes a good tutor - my feedback is in-depth, personal, and focused on clear, achievable steps to improve your score every session. More importantly though, I know what makes an ineffective tutor. There are many, many, tutors out there who might have gotten a 80+ SII score, but has nothing of substance to offer you, with impersonal and rushed feedback, and no clear way to improve. I will work tirelessly not to be one of those tutors... My teaching style is very personal and will be tailored to your specific weaknesses. Yes, SII is a writing test, but you also need to show - logical and critical thinking - clarity of expression - worldliness - (importantly!) empathy Additionally I have a *huge* bank of study materials, resources and strategies to help you in your SII grind. Each of my students receives detailed essay feedback for each session, ensuring you understand where you can improve. *Trial & Guarantee*: I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson. Before we start, please send me a recently written essay (WRITTEN TO TIME), and I'll have a look.
