Monash Health Tutor Ruihan

Hi everyone! I’m Ruihan and I recently graduated from Haileybury College with an ATAR of 99.75 and as a Prefect. Nowadays, I’m studying Medicine at Monash University! So let’s cut to the chase, I was never the top student during my time in middle school - cliche I know, but let me explain :). The school would award these so- called “academic colours” to the highest performing students, and it was always something I wanted for myself. Long-story short, I never got any of them from Year 7-9, and it really did frustrate and discourage me a lot. It was not until Senior School that it really did start clicking for me. My grades began to improve slowly and I felt like I had a better grasp of everything that was thrown at me. How? Understanding things on a conceptual level and implementing specific ways of thinking to tackle questions and ideas. Hence, I would love to be able to pass on the knowledge that I developed and the personalised tips and tricks that I accumulated over the years in order to achieve a 49 and 45 study score respectively in Biology and Chemistry. Whatever be your ambitions, I am excited to be able to work with you! Likewise, if you also require some assistance with other subjects such as English, Methods, French, General Maths or Medicine advice, I am always happy to chat. On the other hand, I love hanging out with friends, enjoy playing the piano from time to time, and enjoy following sports such as Tennis and Soccer (I’m always up for a discussion 👀).
