Hi, I'm Tharuka! I completed my Bachelor of Biomedicine at Unimelb in 2024 and am currently a second year Doctor of Dental Surgery student. I understand that the GAMSAT journey is very stressful, especially when you're juggling GAMSAT preparation alongside Uni, work and life. I scored 80+ in section 3, and 70+ overall across all three of my GAMSAT sittings without much study. And one of the biggest things I learned is that the exam has shifted away from testing extensive science knowledge and now places much greater emphasis on reasoning and problem-solving. Rather than memorising endless content, I'll teach you how to break down unfamiliar questions, identify patterns, and develop an efficient approach that maximises your score while minimising unnecessary study time. But, if you are worried about lacking content knowledge, I have some resources that I am happy to share with you! But I don't particularly tend to focus on content, however will go through some when we come across them in questions. I also improved my S1 score from a 57 in my 1st sitting to a 68 in my 2nd. So I can give you some tips and strategies in your approach especially if you're someone who struggles with their vocab like me :)
