UQ Science Tutor Xavier

Hi! My name is Xavier. I am a recent graduate from UQ with a First Class Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours), majoring in Pure Mathematics. I’m currently taking a gap year and plan to start my Master’s next year. I have over four years of tutoring experience, ranging from high school to graduate-level mathematics. I’ve also worked as a tutor in professional settings with Elevate Education and Connect Education. The feedback I’ve received across all my roles has been consistently positive, with students and colleagues describing me as patient, supportive, and engaging. My tutoring style focuses on building understanding from the ground up. I believe mathematics is best seen as a logical system, not a collection of rules to memorise. Once you adopt this perspective, your learning becomes easier, more intuitive, and far more enjoyable. My sessions are flexible and tailored to your needs. I can help with understanding course content, assignment support, tutorial preparation, and any other academic goals you have. I prefer to tutor on campus but can also offer Zoom sessions if needed.
