Michael is an outstanding tutor, highly responsive, patient, and exceptionally clear in the way he explains difficult concepts. He has a real talent for breaking down challenging material and making it feel manageable. Rather than simply giving you answers, he teaches you how to approach assignments, structure arguments, think critically, and improve your academic writing so that you actually become a stronger student in the process. His lab-report guidance was particularly valuable. He helped clarify the marking criteria, strengthen the structure and presentation of the report, and improve the interpretation and discussion of results. His feedback is thoughtful, constructive, and genuinely tailored to the individual student. I also cannot recommend his lab-report guide highly enough. It is an incredibly comprehensive, practical, and well-designed resource, and it honestly feels like having Michael’s best tutoring advice available whenever you need it. The guide goes far beyond simply explaining what belongs in each section of a lab report; it teaches you how to think like a high-performing psychology student, critically evaluate research, identify meaningful gaps in the literature, build stronger arguments, write sophisticated aims and hypotheses, and develop a much more compelling discussion. The worked examples are especially useful because they make abstract advice concrete, and the final checklist is fantastic for reviewing your work before submission. I found myself referring back to the guide repeatedly throughout the writing process. It brings together the kinds of insights that would otherwise take numerous tutoring sessions to learn, making it exceptional value for students who want to improve their lab reports independently. I would very strongly recommend Michael to students looking for reliable, supportive, and genuinely high-quality tutoring. His guide is also an excellent investment for any psychology student who wants to understand not just how to write a better lab report, but how to think and write at a much higher academic level.

After returning to uni to study my grad dip in psychology, I contacted Michael for help with lab report writing. After a couple of tutoring sessions he put me onto his PDF guide, and let me tell you it was honestly some of the best money I have spent this semester. The guide breaks everything down in a way that’s detailed yet easy to follow, and the examples throughout make it so much easier to see exactly what you need to write. As someone who hadn’t written a lab report in years, it was exactly what I needed. If you are studying psych, do yourself a favour and grab it before your next assignment.

Michael is really an incredible tutor! He proofread several of my lab reports and assignments throughout undergrad, and always explained his feedback really well. I ended up getting into my preferred psych honours course in large part thanks to his help. Michael tutored me whilst I was at college with Unimelb. He is extremely talented at writing lab reports and is an expert on the lingo, structure, and details of how to turn a good lab report great. He’s super clear in his feedback and makes it seem simple and easy - only because he’s done it before dozens of times. Can verify that his WAM of 90 checks out. Michael is extremely talented academically, and has a knack for turning the complex things into simple and easy-to-understand feedback. 10/10 would recommend as a tutor, definately more than worth the hourly rate.

Michael tutored me in a couple of second year Unimelb psych subjects. Michael is always sure to explain complex concepts (particularly statistics) in a simple, and practical way. He is patient and always made sure I truly understood things before moving on. My assignment marks improved significantly over the course of the semester. Michael is truly a legend.
