USYD Engineering Tutor James
Hi, I'm James. I'm an experienced tutor in Maths, Science, Physics and Engineering.
I’m currently studying a Master of Engineering (Electrical) at the University of Sydney, specialising in control theory, optimisation and systems engineering. My background also includes a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Physics) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronic Systems).
My teaching style involves building conceptual understanding first, then applying it through problem-solving. I adapt my explanations depending on whether you need exam preparation, assignment support, or deeper insight into the subject. My goal is to make complex ideas clear and to help you develop independent problem-solving skills.
I teach Maths (primary, secondary all levels and syllabuses, tertiary), Science (7-10) and Physics (secondary all syllabuses, tertiary first year).
I tutor at the University of Sydney campus, online via Zoom/Teams. I am open to other locations by arrangement.
