Hi! I'm Kaylin, a penultimate-year Actuarial Studies student majoring in Accounting. I was awarded the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship at UNSW for outstanding academic achievement. I’ve spent 3 years tutoring and working as a teaching assistant, so I’m used to explaining things in a way that actually makes sense — breaking concepts down, connecting them to real examples, and adjusting the pace to suit each student. Working closely with some course convenors as a student partner also gave me a clear understanding of how the course is structured, where students usually get stuck, and how to approach assessments more effectively. I can also help you plan and complete assignments, practise tricky weekly questions, and prepare for the final exam with strategies that actually work. Alongside Accounting courses, I’m happy to support you with Maths and Economics as well. My teaching style is friendly, energetic and very “concept-first”. I don’t believe in mindless memorising. I focus on helping you understand the real logic behind each topic so everything becomes easier to apply. I tailor each lesson individually because every student learns differently, and I want you to feel comfortable asking anything at any time. During our sessions, you’ll get clear explanations, real-time feedback, and support that actually meets you where you are. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, capable, and genuinely engaged with what you’re learning. I’m happy to tutor either on the UNSW campus or online, depending on what works best for you.
