Psychology Tutor | HD Thesis (88%) | Masters of Clinical Psychology Student | Research & Stats Specialist Hi, I’m Trent — a Master of Clinical Psychology student with a strong academic record and extensive real-world experience supporting people’s mental health and wellbeing. I completed the Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) with an overall WAM of 83% from Deakin, following a Bachelor of Psychological Science (WAM 84%) at UNE, and received an 88% (HD) for my fourth-year thesis. My thesis examined predictors of trait aggression and was described by markers as “highly relevant, fascinating, well written, and logically constructed.” I’ve consistently achieved High Distinctions across statistics, research methods, and core psychology units. Alongside my academic background, I currently work full-time in a wellbeing and pastoral care role in government, where I collaborate closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other health professionals. This means I don’t just understand psychology in theory — I also understand how it’s applied ethically, professionally, and within real systems of care. I really enjoy helping psychology students understand content rather than just memorise it, and supporting them to produce clearer, more confident assessments. What I Can Help With I tutor across undergraduate and honours-equivalent psychology, including: * Introductory & Intermediate Psychology * Research Methods & Statistics (including interpretation and write-ups) * Essay planning, structure & academic writing * Fourth-year / thesis support (topic development, methods, results, discussion) * Understanding journal articles & critical analysis * Exam preparation & study strategies Sessions are tailored to your goals — whether that’s improving grades, building confidence with stats, or polishing an important assignment. Why Choose Me? 🎓 Proven academic excellence (HD thesis, HDs in stats & core units) 📊 Strong research & data skills (quantitative focus, clear explanations) 🧠 Combination of psychology training and real-world mental health professional experience 📝 Assessment-focused support — I know what markers look for 🤝 Supportive, calm, and structured teaching style I’m especially helpful for students who feel overwhelmed by research methods, statistics, or large written assessments. For coursework tutoring, every unit I've listed is a unit that I've done (or done the equivalent of) and achieved at least a Distinction average in!
