Hello! I’m Andrew. I’m a PhD-level scientist and a clinical radiographer, and I’ve spent years figuring out how to make the "hard" sciences actually click for senior students. With a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow and a Master of Diagnostic Radiography from USYD (2024) awarded with Distinction, my background isn’t just academic—it’s clinical. I don't see Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as separate boxes to be memorised. To me, they are interconnected systems of logic. My goal is to move you past simple rote learning and help you master the "why" behind every concept. Whether you are tackling the HSC, VCE, or IB, I’m here to help you build the analytical rigour needed to reach the top. How I deliver my lessons: Sharp, Interactive Digital Tools: We’ll use a Kamvas 12 tablet and Openboard. It’s like a live classroom whiteboard, but clearer. I can draw complex chemical structures or derive physics formulas in real-time, making every step easy to follow. I can meet you at the Susan Wakil Building after class to provide tuition and we could book a library room for a lesson as I am a Camperdown local. A "Deconstruction" Mindset: I teach you how to pull apart exam questions. By using specific cognitive frameworks, I help you stop panicking when you see an unfamiliar problem and start working through it with a clear strategy. Real-World Context: My radiography work gives me a unique perspective on Physics (Medical Imaging), Biology (Disease & Technology). While my PhD in Biochemistry gives me unique perspectives on Biology and Chemistry. I also possess an MSc with Distinction in Instrumental Analytical Chemistry. I bring university-level subject mastery down to the high school level with precision and clarity. I personally handle every session to ensure you get the full benefit of my experience.
