I went from 61 → 69 → 79 in GAMSAT Section 2. Here's what actually changed. I sat the GAMSAT three times. The jump from 61 to 69 came from practising more. The jump from 69 to 79 came from practising differently. Memorising essays didn't work. Writing dozens of practice essays without understanding why some worked and others didn't didn't work either. What worked was learning what ACER is actually looking for and building a method around it. Things that moved the score: ACER marks quality of thinking, not impressive writing. Once I understood that, everything shifted. My 61 essays stated positions. My 79 essays explained why things work the way they do. 5-10 minutes planning both essays before writing either one changed the quality of everything that followed. My best Task B essays started from a position where I was wrong about something, not where I agreed with the prompt from the start.
