I'm a science student with a High Distinction average, having scored HDs across Chemistry, Biology and Statistics. I tutor Chemistry and Biology for Year 12 students and anyone tackling first-year university units. Having recently been through the exact subjects I teach, I know which concepts trip people up, where students lose easy marks, and what examiners are actually looking for. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation, so the content sticks well beyond your next exam. What makes me different? Chemistry and Biology have always been my strongest subjects, and I've kept that going at university. CURRENT KNOWLEDGE Having just been through it, I know the syllabus and exam style as they are right now, not how they were years ago. How I run lessons 1. Theory & foundations I explain new topics clearly, using analogies and examples, and make sure the basics are solid before moving on. 2. Practice questions We work through targeted questions together, with real-time feedback so you learn from mistakes as you go. 3. Consolidation Light homework to lock in what we covered and build speed and accuracy. 4. Exam application Past-paper and exam-style questions in the lead-up to assessments and the HSC. I structure lessons around what you need, so if you've got an exam coming up, we'll prioritise those topics. Sessions I tutor one-on-one, in person on campus or at the library, and online if that's easier for you. Flexible times depending on your availability.
