Hello! My name is George. I am currently a PhD Candidate in International Relations and hold a Master of International Relations from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours).
I have several years of tutoring experience working with students from diverse backgrounds across a range of year levels. I have supported students in English, humanities subjects, and general school coursework, as well as exam preparation. Over this time, I have helped many students improve their academic performance, including guiding students into selective entry programs and scholarship pathways.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and highly adaptable. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear, structured explanations and tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style. I aim to build both understanding and confidence, not just short-term results.
I can help students across English and the humanities at all year levels, including VCE. I also support exam preparation, selective entry and scholarship preparation, as well as essay writing, structuring arguments, and developing critical thinking skills.
I prefer online classes over Zoom; however, I am flexible with delivery depending on location and circumstances.
