UTS Law Tutor Luke
Hi, I’m Luke, a fourth-year Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Communication student at UTS, majoring in Social and Political Sciences. I offer tutoring in university law and communication subjects, as well as HSC Legal Studies, Modern History, Ancient History, History Extension, Studies of Religion II and English Advanced.
I have 3.5 years of tutoring experience and adapt each lesson to the student’s subject, ability and goals. My teaching style is structured, approachable and focused on making difficult ideas easy to understand. I help students strengthen their subject knowledge while learning how to apply it effectively in essays, problem questions, presentations and exams.
For law students, I can assist with understanding cases and legal principles, preparing case notes, answering hypothetical problem questions, structuring essays, conducting legal research, using AGLC referencing and preparing for exams or moots. I received a High Distinction in Jurisprudence and Distinctions in Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Torts, Australian Constitutional Law, Introduction to Property and Commercial Law, Evidence, Public International Law and Corporate Law.
For communication and social and political sciences students, I can help with critical reading, research, essay planning, argument development, applying social and political theory, editing drafts, referencing and preparing presentations. I have received strong results across my communication degree, including High Distinctions in Self and Society, Digital Literacies and Communicating Difference, as well as Distinctions in Citizenship and Communication, Histories of the Present, Comparing Indigenous Histories and Politics, Global Economies, Policy and Advocacy, and Political Ideas and Change.
My academic work also includes a published jurisprudence piece, The Full Bench 2026: No One Is Above the Law, Or Are They?, which examined the relationship between institutional power, accountability and the rule of law. I also have practical legal experience as a paralegal and barristers’ clerk, along with extensive experience in mooting and legal-writing competitions.
Tutoring is available online or in person at UTS. I can assist with weekly coursework, assessment preparation, draft feedback, exam revision or targeted sessions on difficult topics.
