Hi, I’m Dr Ari. I’m a university educator and cognitive neuroscientist with a PhD in Psychology (2018) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (2011), with more than 15 years’ experience in higher education. I’ve worked as a university lecturer, unit coordinator and academic across undergraduate programs, teaching students from first year through to advanced study. I’ve designed and coordinated university units, developed assessments and marking guides, delivered lectures, and marked countless assignments, so I understand not only what students need to know, but what university markers are actually looking for in a high-quality assessment. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve helped countless students develop the confidence, skills and understanding they need to achieve their academic goals. My approach is supportive, practical and evidence-informed, with a strong focus on helping students become better, more independent learners. My goal is to help you understand how to approach university work, think critically, write effectively and become a more confident, independent student. Helping you build the knowledge, skills and confidence that will take you closer to the career you aspire to pursue. I tutor online via Microsoft Teams / Zoom / Google Meet and provide personalised feedback on drafts.
