I've been tutoring math for two years across HiiQ and Ezy Math, working with students from Year 7 up to second-year university, mostly Years 10 to 12 sitting their HSC plus some uni students in calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics. My approach is diagnostic: I find where the actual gaps are and why, since students who struggle are usually missing one or two foundational concepts that everything else depends on, then rebuild from there with targeted exercises. Lessons run an hour, split between a worked example together and independent practice while I watch how you think, because a lot of errors only show up when you see the working live. I write custom problem sets, track progress across sessions, and do heavy exam prep with past papers, timed drills, and marks-allocation strategy. On the academic side I'm a Dalyell Scholar at USyd (WAM 85) in Financial Mathematics & Statistics, with coursework in Real Analysis, Probability Theory, Stochastic Processes, and Econometrics, so the math I teach is math I work with at a high level myself. Average improvement has been around 15 to 20% on exam scores over a term, depending on where you start and how consistently you show up.
