I really recommend doing ECON101 before this as it made a lot more sense to me. I really liked this unit as it applied to the real world and the Lecturer George referred to real world examples which helps a lot. I found the unit challenging but the tutorials run by Shaun and PASS by Harry helped a lot.

It's definitely macroeconomics, but the recorded lectures were good and the recorded tutorial sessions were more effort than most trimester 3 subjects go to, even if they were very, very dry. The assessment was a nightmare (find a good way to draw graphs) but is worth 40% and is more time consuming than it is difficult. The quizzes are your standard fare and worth barely anything but are all mandatory and for some reason finished mid-week. It was very heavy towards assessments finishing before the Christmas break, too, so be warned if doing this in trimester 3.

A very interesting unit. All content directly relates to real life economic scenario's, making this a highly relevant and enjoyable unit.

George is a fantastic lecturer with a lot of insider knowledge on the unit. This unit is preferable to ECON101

Great start to macroeconomics. Would recommend doing ECON101 before this unit.
