A surprising amount of reading required for this unit. It is an intro unit so they try to cover off a lot but I found the reading too much especially as it was a core subject and not something I would have chosen. Assignment's a good way to understand marketing and exam was closed book which I found a bit unnecessary for marketing.

This was a core subject and not something I would have chosen. I ended up enjoying it and getting a great result thanks to the thoughtful planning and presentation of the content. Aaron (coordinator) was supportive and encouraging, making every effort to help students stay engaged and successfully complete the unit.

For students who are more inclined toward quantitiatve/skill-based units, this unit can be a bit of a bore. It is basically textbook readings and memorisation. Assignment questions were fair, though the exam questions were awfully niche. Lectures offered little value in addition to the textbook. Overall, an ok unit that must be completed as a core unit of your business degree.

Off campus course is mostly textbook learning, the assignments aren't too bad and you get good guidance for their content. The lecturer was very specific about the content areas for the final exam which made targeting study areas easy.

Found it a very basic start to marketing.
