There is a closer look at wool properties in this unit. Very worthwhile, it combines an understanding of wool biology with wool measurement in a practical interesting way. Intensive school in Melbourne based at AWTA lab. (Australian Wool Testing Authority) in Kensington Melbourne, but with other industy visits to Geelong. The unit also looks at TEAM (Trials for Evaluating Additional Measurement) and the research and development at AWTA.This unit is also studied by Agriculture and related disciplines' students from up to 13 Australian universities on a non award cross- credit basis. This unit ties in with and compliments other wool units, and completes the picture. Great for Agriculturalists, Biologists, Wool buyers, processors and people involved in the wool supply chain. A very worth while unit and like some of the other wool units offered at UNE, is the only one of its kind offered in Australia.
