Best subject to introduce a first year student to the university. Grade: 90+. You will have Brent as both your lecturer and tutor who is easygoing, amazing and passionate about his teaching. All the assessments including the exam are open book except the first one yet you only need to remember around 20 letters and symbols for that. Very well structured as each week builds up from the last and you will slowly grasp your knowledge of reading and interpreting basic ancient egyptian. This subject is perfect if you would like to know the basic grammar and symbols of hieroglyphs/ancient egyptian culture but are worried about writing and translating a new language, as you won't be required to write in hieroglyphs or transcribe long, hard sentences. You could even create your own phrases in ancient egyptian (so many fun stuff to read and compose!!) (for those looking for a wam booster, this one is definitely h1able)
