Reviews
This subject was a good taste of how a JD law subject is assessed. The content was interesting and gave me a good insight into how the corporate world operates. While there were some accounting terms that weren't really explained, I found the content manageable despite being from a non-accounting background. The tutorials were really helpful in developing IRAC, and the lectures were taught quite well. Although this is a fairly challenging subject and requires considerable effort to do well, I think it is a challenge worth responding to!

I really enjoyed this subject. While some of the content can be boring at times, the tutorials are super straightforward and really useful for the assignment and the exam (if you've written in the IRAC format before this will be of MAJOR help.) Julian is also a really good lecturer.

The lecturer Helen is excellent in her teaching. However, the tutorial questions and assessments can be quite confusing if you overcomplicate matters. The subject content is quite practical and useful.

Incredibly difficult subject although is also very interesting. Put in the time and effort and you can do well.

Despite Helen being an excellent lecturer, and delivering the content in a clear and comprehensive manner, this subject was let down by the poor tutorials. Ensure that you find a tutor who will address the tutorial questions in a manner that incorporates the IRAC structure and indicates what kind of information that examiners would be looking for in the response. This is because tutorials are absolutely essential to succeeding in the exam, given that they provide you with practical tools to legal writing in the assignment and exam. Be aware that tutors (even in consults) are unable to provide you with written/verbal feedback to your responses.

The most interesting breadth I've done so far, recommend it for anyone doing science and is interested in how companies run etc, challenging subject didn't ever think of it as a WAM booster but definitely boosted my WAM considering I put in the work too, your cheat sheet notes are basically your friend, good notes = good answers

Interesting subject but do need practice to do well.

This subject is quite interesting but definitely not an easy H1.

Put decent effort into the tutorials and you'll do fine. Tutor and lecturer were awesome. It also gives you valuable insight into the real business world if you actually try to understand the cases. Highly recommended subject

Great lecturer. Great tutor. The tutes are vital in learning how to answer the exam questions. Lecturers are extremely important for understanding and also, Helen drops exam'assignment hints throughout the semester.
