Reviews

The most useful and industry relevant practical subject I have taken in my undergrad. Exposes you to so many different chemical synthesis and analytical techniques. I felt this subject has prepared me tremendously for my later research and employment positions. There is a very heavy workload and high time commitment required though.

Really full-on subject where you learn heaps of new techniques and write heaps of reports. Be prepared for the large time commitment required, and stay on top of the reports. I felt like this subject should have been worth double credit points for all the hours it took up. The experiments are largely unsupervised, so you need to know your stuff. A bonus is that you have a degree of choice in which experiments you do. (P.S. I took this subject in semester 1, 2014, but that doesn't appear in the drop-down menu, so I'll select semester 1, 2017, which is the oldest option available.)
