Reviews
This subject is very information heavy but generally well taught and fairly interesting/challenging. Wish it had a bit more focus but I guess it's an overview of a very complicated field.

Really bad subject. Better apply the advanced standing for this if you can.

So badly taught, lectures are all over the place and assignments teach you more about how much you hate excel than anything to do with computer networks. But I guess it's nothing new for unimelb so enjoy this as your core subject!

The subject lecturer is a bad teacher although he is very generous in marking students. Thus, you should learn most of the topics independently or ask the tutor. So good tutor is key to success. The final exam is very similar to the problems in workshops but, be aware - they change tiny part so the answer would be completely different. That's why raw learning doesn't work well to beat final exam.
