Reviews

tutors are great, assignments are a lot of work but they are also worth a lot (20%) so it is fair. open book exam is nice and this is overall a nice subject however don't put your assignments too to the last minute or it will come and bite you

Could be better if the assignment rubrics weren't released halfway through the assignment.... Do this subject with friends, the tutorials are much more enjoyable since we could pick our own groups.

I am extremely disappointed with this subject. The lectures are incredibly monotonous and fail to engage students. The material is presented in a dry and uninspiring manner, making it difficult to stay focused and motivated. The assignments are poorly explained, with vague instructions that leave students confused about what is expected. There is a lack of clarity in the guidelines, making it challenging to understand the requirements and criteria for assessment. , this subject has been a frustrating experience. The lack of engaging lectures, poor assignment explanations, and unfair marking have made it extremely difficult to find any value in this course. I would not recommend it to other students.

If I can give this 0 stars I would. Very disorganised and uncoordinated subject. First assignment has very high expectations and workload and the content in the assignments is not explained very well, you are expected to do research on most of the content that is barely explained to you. Lectures almost have no correlation to the workshops. This is a very lame excuse for a core structural engineering subject where most of the background knowledge are not explained to the best interest of the students.
