The lecturer Gavin Buskes was very rude and a bore to listen to, he made the lectures intolerable as the content was already boring and him going on rants and tangents did not do it any favours. He was very demanding with the project, assignments and the exam as he made the assessments disproportionally difficult in comparison to the lectures and EVEN THE TEXTBOOK which he forced us to read. I would not recommend this subject but it is compulsory for most electrical and mechatronics students so try to avoid it the semester Gavin is teaching it.

The lecturer was great. The content was a bit boring and the first half is basically useless in the final exam but overall great introduction into the world of embedded design. Not a demanding subject either. Would recommend!

Not the hardest electrical subject out there and the project was pretty interesting, although painful at times. Fair exam that mostly tested the basics with a few tricky questions.
