Honestly a pretty good subject. The pre-recorded lectures from Andrew were good and often explained in a lot of detail. Workshop wise, nothing too demanding, they would give you some time to go through the questions (both by hand and the matlab ones too) and give you the answers. You could then either submit the workshop questions in class or take home finish it and submit it for the 0.5% or however much they were worth. They also had past paper questions which actually were really helpful. Assignments from memory were relatively chill and usually had enough time to go through. Within the lectures both example classes and pre-recorded they did give relatively good hints and 'methods' on how to complete the assignments too. Lots of MATLAB questions so you might learn a thing or two. Good subject, would recommend.

Did this subject with Andrew Ooi, and it was by far the most enjoyable subject so far. Andrew is super passionate about the class and brings an energy to lectures that really isn't matched by anyone else. On LMS, there are pre-lectures that you need to watch, and worked examples are done in class (as well as exam-style questions). The examples Andrew does in class are spiced up too, always resulting in everyone in the lecture laughing and having a good time whilst also learning about the content. Workshops are great, as they help solidify the content. The workload isn't too much, as there are only 3 assignments (which in total make up 50% or so of your mark), which are generally quite easy since you have a whole month to do each assignment. The exam is only worth 40%. The best part about this subject is that for the majors that require Intro to C, this subject can be taken as an alternative. Additionally, any other subjects that list Intro to C as a non-allowed subject don't have Numerical Methods in Engineering listed. Overall, amazing subject :))
