really didn't like finance, it was very corporate based, much more so than i thought it was going to be. definitely seems like a subject for commerce students, i wouldn't recommend it as breadth unless you're majoring in something with a lot of maths, the stats and actuarial kids generally liked it much more than people in things like arts. the lectures were two hours which i found very hard to sit through and the lecturer called out quite a few people for being on their phone throughout the semester. it moved quickly so if you don't understand a concept from week 1 or 2, you'll struggle to keep up with the next weeks. overall, wouldn't recommend unless you're more of a numbers person (or in commerce ofc)

The entry level subject for Finance. Easy, but you need to understand the basic concepts and calculations.

Subject is difficult but I enjoy Finance and will be majoring in it so found it interesting enough to do well. If I wasn't a naturally weaker maths student this subject would've been an 85+

Please do me a favour and don't take it as a breadth. Lots of theory not much practical/Math stuff. And no, it won't make you any better at managing your money. Subject is pretty much just theoretical finance but the assignments are fairly easy so make sure you get those on point. Exam is theory, don't wait until the last minute and know what your formulas mean.

Overall, it can be a quite difficult subject for non-finance students. However, doing and redoing all the tutorials and past exams will help prepare you adequately for the final exam.

Overall its a pretty interesting subject for commerce student. Joe is good lecturer.

Finance1 is a very interesting subject that it briefs the financial mechanism. If you could truly understand how the financial systems work, it shouldn't be a problem for writing an exam. It is a subject based on understanding. All the best guys!

hahahaha good luck is all i can say. If youre looking to do this as a breadth just save yourself and dont. German or French is looking pretty good now isnt it
