Worst lecturer (Ying Tan) to ever exist in the history of humanity. I actually lost braincells trying to comprehend what she was trying to say. Had to go on good ol' youtube as early as week 1 to understand the content.

Terrifying subject. First half of semester I had not much idea what was going on with Ying's lectures. Content was confusing and worst of all, in every lecture recording, she stood far away from the microphone that it was impossible to understand her for chunks of time. Also tried to approach her to get an explanation for a confusing concept in one of the assignments and she seemed almost offended that I didn't understand her "teachings".

I’ve gained so many benefits from taking this unit such as: 1) Malignant brain tumor (Ying tan is one too, which explains the massive confusion I had every time I watch her lectures) 2) PTSD (My family found me in a catatonic state yelling “I have no enemies” after the exam) 3) Major depression 4) Absolutely nothing My experience is proof that Unimelb lives up to its reputation of having the best lecturers and very well-structured units.

Ying Tan is the filter we implicitly learn about throughout the duration of the course. She filters out the weak who are not strong enough to endure her horrible teaching practices.

The lecturer has got to be the worst lecturer known to man. Subject is horrible
