Hate this subject. The assignments, lecture content are so boring and vague, tutorials are pointless and donβt teach you anything. I hate how 30% of your grade is based on group work, my team members are so ugh β¦ I ended up doing all the work!!! Edit: never mind got an h1

I would say that OB is a fairly easy subject as the concepts are easy to apply. Where it was difficult is that you have to go the extra mile in terms of research for your essays. Be sure to attend classes and set a reminder to do the quiz on weekends as it is graded (i missed two due to bereavement and they refused to help which was frustrating). exam was also very manageable

I honestly really liked this subject and I think 90% is attributed to my tutor Dee so please show her some love because she was so amazing. She genuinely cared about all of us and responded to emails in 0.2 seconds, she would also show pictures of her cat at the beginning of each lesson. Overall great vibes and learnt a lot from her and my tutor class who were also all very nice. Assignment 1 was really easy in my opinion but the group assignment was really heavy. It was 5000 words so make sure not to leave to the last minute(Our group put in the bare minimum and scraped a 70). Final exam was annoying because of all the possible case study combinations but most have notes on studentdoc so just copy off that, content wise the exam was easy.

unless you're interested in creating subject-approved fluff that doesn't actually adhere to the actual theories that they teach (yes what they teach is their own subjective interpretation of things), yeah go ahead and take this subject that may cost 5.6k and precious credit points. at least they allow individual assignments this time, but the effort put in this is definitely not proportionate to the results. my assignment 2 was "better" than the first according to tutor feedback but the marks were lower.

Just...honestly, just don't do this subject if you don't have to. The definition of undermarking students for the sake of it. Save yourself the trouble.

what tf? seriously shouldve done arts instead of comm if i knew i had to do this subject

The only thing I liked about the subject was the content and the case studies, everything else was a mess. Group assignment was an absolute nightmare, lectures and lecture slides were terrible. They grade your assignment really harshly as well.

Absolutely horribly designed subject. Large amount of your grade is based on a group assignment with people who you are designated by your tutor. The exam is only on 2 topics out of the 12 weeks of content so the majority of study that students do will be not on the exam. OB ensured I would never take another management subject.

This subject will provide an introduction to basic individual and group processes, as they affect people in organisations. Major theories and models in key areas of organisational behaviour will be examined; including group dynamics, motivation, stress, communication, conflict, power, strategy, structure and change management. Tutorials will emphasise the application of theories, through the use of exercises and case studies
