Winter 2022 - my favourite subject so far. I took this as breadth (Arts student). Lots of fun negotiations where you can actually apply lecture content and interact with other students. Highly recommend, it was also a easy wam booster, particularly if you're good at writing essays/long answer questions

Winter 2020 - fun subject but the effort put into it does not scale proportionately to the results. as it is a management subject, gotta submit the "linking theories and concepts" assessments and the actual negotiation outcomes does not affect your marks, which i think should've been a factor to take in because it is literally your performance in action. Both lecturers made it really nice and interesting, just a pity it's under management faculty that the assessment is based on writing fluff. **suggestion to fellow accounting students: don't take it. what you learn in cost management is better than this whole subject.

Tutes are fun, however there wasnt really any value added when it comes to preparation of assessments. Final Exams were totally different from tutes. The tutor told me that the average marks of the students range from 72-73. Not a wam booster

Was a pretty good experience. The subject is fairly well organised and the negotiations are meant to be a bit of fun in addition to applying the concepts. Exam was changed from take-home to a proper formal exam this year, but the paper itself was fairly straightforward if you watched the lectures and submit all the other assessments.

The marking is arbitrary, no detailed marking criteria to follow for the case preparations. Although I put large amount of effort into it, I still get poor marks. The H1 example tutor showed us was not convincing for me. Overall, the subject is effortful but may not yield ideal results. Negotiations with classmates were fun. Otherwise it’s not worth taking the subject.

Don't take Sascha's Tutorials! Her marking is very strict and you will get very low marks even if we put a great amount of effort into the works.

Don't get me wrong, the negotiations were fun. Unfortunately, the lecturer and head tutor seem to be quite lazy, and it really shows. Pretty much every assessment (including the takehome EXAM) was apparently the same as last year. Expectations for the daily assignment, as well as the final essay and exam, were vague and inconsistent between the head tutor, my tutor, and the lecturer (including direct contradictions of eachother!) Marking appeared completely arbitrary (ie for a particular question the rubric literally said H1, H2a etc without saying what that even meant!). Still as I said, the negotiations were fun, and you really get to know your classmates.

This subject is quiet interesting, especially when you negotiate with others in tutorials.
