A fellow student of Sem 2 2020, exactly like you said, that reading was absurd. Besides, to do a comparison, IHRM's got same type of exam with four questions but 3 hours to write whereas for this you only have 2. No readings were required for IHRM. And this year no 10 questions like previous did, only four sample questions. I m curious about the fail rate and if I do fail I m certainly not going to take this again next year.

Would not recommend this subject. Worst subject I have done in 3 years at uni.... As there were no in-class tutorials given COVID19, they removed the 10% for participation and made the assignment worth 50% instead of 40%. For an assignment worth 50% there was little to no direction of what is expected, no drop-in consults and the assignment asked questions or lecture recordings that were taught AFTER it was due...The lecturer Damien didn't record any lectures for the first 4/5 weeks and just posted old lecture recordings. He would say things like "as you can see" and it was almost impossible to follow. After 5 weeks or so of not doing anything, he finally started to record lectures. For the final exam, he expected us to read every single supplementary reading and in tutorial readings without any direction which reading would be examinable. Again, no drop-in consults for the exam. Some weeks there were readings aggregated to 80 pages...The tutorials were awkward, unengaging and when students didn't know the answers the tutor would sit in silence. It was one of those subjects where they seemed to enjoy making it difficult for students for no reason..

The lecturer (Damien) has great experience in the industry and able to share good knowledge about Supply Chain. It is an insightful subject and would recommend students who are interested in Strategy and Operations to take this.

The lecturer (Damien) does not seem to put in a lot of care into the subject. My tutor may have extensive knowledge in the subject, but she is not very good at teaching and frankly quite difficult to communicate with. The group assignment is 50%, with 2 students in a group, and your teammate is selected by lucky draw.... I personally don't think it's a good arrangement, particularly when it weighs 50%. Would not really recommend this subject.

The lecturer (Vikram) was amazing. I don't know how he did it, but his lectures were always interesting and never boring. His slides were clear and he explained the concepts really well. I didn't even purchase the textbook - didn't even touch it - and managed to get an H1. The tutor (Chin Quek) was excellent as well. Very clear. Very good. Although I am not a commerce student, I believe that this class has imparted important knowledge for my future. No regret at all.

The materials in this subject is pretty straightforward. Damien is a good lecturer, but I would recommend getting the textbook because his slides aren't that complete. The assignment is a lot of work in my opinion, so make sure you get a good partner (the weight is 50%). My tutor, Jackson, is pretty good and makes the classes interesting. I would definitely recommend this for commerce students and especially students doing a management major.

The lecturer (Damien) was pretty alright, he seems to treat it more as a seminar than a lecture and wants us to know information about the supply chain. His lectures are a little bit disorganised as he tends to talk about the next few slides without showing then, then skim over them when they're presented on screen. Tutor was alright, most of the tutorial work was redundant when it came to the final exam. Final exam was pretty alright given we had quite a lot of information to prepare. The assignment was alright too. Overall it was a decent subject.
