Did this subject in summer term. Highly manageable workload despite the fact that it's supposed to be 2x as intense by virtue of summer term timelines. Can't imagine how stress-free this subject would be in a normal 12-wk semester. Convenience aside: this subject doesn't focus on your performance or academic learnings from an internship, but rather encourages you to focus on your career (as the subject name suggests lol) and how your experiences have developed your views on your career paths. Most students in this subject are arts students but since it is a breadth you do meet plenty of people from other courses too! Elena (subject coordinator) is also your tutor for your consultation classes. She very obviously wants you to succeed in the subject and will provide plenty of feedback and assistance to ensure you do so. Probably one of the most rewarding and easy breadth subjects I have done. The hard bit is just finding an internship lol.

I did this subject as a breadth subject and I absolutely loved it! Not many students know you can take it as a breadth and i highly recommend that you do it as a breadth if you're not sure what other subject to take because it's a great way to get some work experience. The assignments were quite manageable and really require you to reflect a lot, which might get some getting used to or finding your own method to do so. The subject coordinators were very supportive and they gave a lot of resources and guidance, which made the subject even better.

Loved this subject! You do a few classes on top of your placement hours but it is super chill, and the tutor is really really good. Would highly recommend for anyone who is keen to get some workplace experience and still get credit points! Just a heads up that the timetabling is a bit of a hassle and first, not to mention a bit confusing. Make sure if you don't understand anything to email the subject heads because they are really helpful.
