Reviews

Really good subject. Content is great, physics 2 PST is way more interesting than physics 1. Modern physics was probably my favourite part. The tutes weren't too helpful with most of the questions being too complicated or just weird. The weekly quizzes like physics 1 were nothing flashy. The labs, no surprise, had old equipment with pretty basic pracs that never really lined up with what we were learning in that week. Had Shayne as my demonstrator, really knew his stuff and was constantly making sure we improved each week. Downside: Lecturers. Chris was okay, I just felt that he went off topic and wasn't as clear when explaining. Roger was better, more engaging but same thing. Viv however was great, covered Fluids week and she explained everything really well, shame there was no fluids on the exam. Also exam, strange questions but remember they will test you on past demos and being able to explain whats going on.

Interesting subject, hard exam. Keep on top of things.

Interesting subject. A good advice is to prepare for the lectures by doing the readings or go through the lecture notes beforehand. It makes one understand everything so much better! The labs were a lot of fun, and the demos were really cool - as physics usually is. This subject is harder than Physics 1, so just be clear that this subject requires more work.

More enjoyable than physics 1; there's more maths involved in this subject. Don't get too tripped up by the integrals in electromag. The modern physics section is probably the hardest as there's more rote learning of formulas there; nothing you can seriously do about it though.

A very easy subject,IF you listen in the lectures and ask your questions in the tutorials. The exam is designed in a way that only the ones who actually understood the concepts can pass or get a good score. So you have to try understanding the concepts they teach you.
