Reviews

One of the most interesting and engaging psychology subjects there are. While the content is challenging, those looking for a break from writing lab reports will love this subject as the assignment is a very unique one: a peer-review of a journal.

Interesting and overall good subject. Could do with lecturers explaining things a bit better both on the slides and through speaking but otherwise all good. Very heavy focus on sleep and motor control. Have only done one psych subject at uni (+vce) and have felt this subject to not be too above my level.

This subject is not good. - Lectures are scientifically very vague and the slides commonly have spelling errors, grammar errors, nonsensical theories - Assignments are irrelevant to the content and only interesting if you want to go into research for psychology - You are often marked down for technical issues rather than actual issues with content - Decent enough subject to get 70+ but due to the bell-curving of this subject due to a desperate cohort of psych students attempting to get into honours it is very tough to get 80+ TLDR: this subject is dull, vague and difficult to do well in, steer clear if you can avoid it

An interesting subject which discusses the biological basis for PTSD and other anxiety disorders as well as a whole lot of information about how sleep works and the dysfunctions which can arise therein.

Having only been offered for a couple of years, this subject is incredibly interesting. Note that a large portion of the lectures are dedicated to the subject of sleep.
