This subject was kind of shallow on the topic of work. It felt like high school sociology. The lecturer gave a lot of statistics, but not much discussion of theories and theorists and did not challenge the neo-liberal, capitalist ideology of work. Furthermore, they were a white-woman feminist who were dismissive of the experiences of other minorities. A bit of a traumatic experience, to be honest, because you would expect better from a third year subject lecturer, at the University of Melbourne.
