The first few weeks content is actually interesting, but as time goes it gets boring and too philosophical. There is no rubric for the assignments. As a person who is logical and almost thinks like a computer it was difficult to creatively think.

Very mixed feelings about this subject. The content in some weeks was fascinating, in other weeks was bland. The assignments themselves were quite fun to do, and there was a great range of freedom in how those assignments were presented. One of the main staff for this subject (cough cough David Shea) could be described as a little "out of touch" at best - as a science student, it was very evident to see when this specific lecturer was not qualified to be speaking about what they were talking about, and at times it came across as spreading misinformation (the idea that evolution is false was one that personally got me a little heated). While this subject prided itself on not being a traditional academic class, I believe it might benefit greatly from a little bit more structure, and perhaps maybe leaving the trickier subjects to the experts rather than the interpretation of someone from another field. Another point I think is worth noting is there was very little opportunity for student discussion, although this varied depending on the staff member in charge of that week. One member encouraged much more discussion than the other. Personally, I definitely preferred the former, as sitting in an online workshop for three hours with no engagement became very tiresome by the end of the semester. More opportunities for student engagement would also perhaps allow for more ease at the end of semester group project, as it would allow like-minded students to identify one another. The head of this subject, Elizabeth, was super helpful and responded to my concerns over email promptly. This subject was delivered fully online this semester which I acknowledge was not its intended design. This subject was overall a fun experience, however was set back a little bit by the cringey amount of misinformation.

Excellent subject, its called secret life of the body now. The lectures were quite interesting and it's great to learn a variety of extremely different yet well-connected topics in the course. The lecturer, David is extremely good at explaining the different concepts, another great thing about the subject is the many guest lecturers, who are experts in their fields, that are invited to speak to us. The assignments are a lot of fun, there are three parts to it - one is a journal, which is just an account of what happened in class and what our thoughts were on the different topics. The second part is a project where we present something to the entire class, the topic is chosen entirely by us based on the ones we learnt in class. The last part is a paper we write based on what we presented in class. The assignments aren't too taxing provided we work on the journal each week (which I failed to do xD). It is one of the most interesting subjects I've done and I would recommend it to everyone. It is a subject where one can get an H1 provided the required effort is put in. I got an 89 with minimum effort.
