Reviews
Pretty straight forward introductory accounting course. Eases you into the world of accounting well, and definitely a WAM booster unit.

A great intro course and quite an easy one in terms of marks. Tutorials were enjoyable and content was not too dry

A beginners accounting course. Make sure you understand the first few weeks as the entire course is built upon that foundation.

Mostly financial accounting & some topics on management accounting at the end. Contents are useful but can be dry because you will learn journal entries, preparing financial statements. However, with enough practice (tutorial questions), you will be fine. Exams are not challenging at all.

Study hard for the midsem because the final is very difficult

Requires lots of practice but overall good subject. Great tutor as well!

Tried quite hard for this course but I honestly did not enjoy it. The final exam was bs and I just disliked the course in general as I am not an accounting type of person. The lecturer seemed kind of fed up and gave me the impression that he didn't want to teach us. The homework was difficult for me. The online quizzes was the only good thing

A good introduction to accounting. Make sure you read the textbook and be sure to keep up to date, otherwise this will be your worst nightmare.

The compulsory core accounting unit have a preparer perspective. It provides an introduction to basic concepts in accounting and their application for decision making by a wide range of potential users, shareholders, investment analysts, lenders, managers etc). This unit should benefit students who wish to specialise in accounting, and will also be of value to students whose primary interest lies elsewhere in the field of business.

It's OK subject, much better than other crazy core subjects
