Philosophically dense free-for-all. This course is designed by Vicki Kirby to reflect her passion for discovering and investigating challenging and complex "social phenomena", using those peculiar subjects as a means to penetrate deeper into the broader theories of being and individuality. The course is dissected into thematic "chunks" wherein a particular theorist is assigned as a foundational text from which other relevant thinkers are discussed on top of the other and in relation to particular events or societal topics. The essays are comfortably open and encouraging and the tutors were all keen and lovely to talk with (particularly about sensitive issues), they all sat front and centre in the lectures.

Really fascinating course. Wide spread subject area kept it really fresh and engaging
