If you're interested in doing enviromental microbiology, then this is a good subject for you - Lots of emphasis on ecology and so forth. However, if you're majoring in medical microbiology like I was, you're better off sticking to immunology because half the course will bore your socks off. First half of the course was great though, but second half was just Antarctica. Finals are a killer as well, so good luck.
