Fantastic course for someone with no coding experience, teaches at a good pace whilst maintaining interest. Gets more difficult after numpy introduced but still not too hard a course.

Amazing course that exposes engineering students to programming concepts which are necessary in the modern engineering world. The spreadsheet and matlab components lets the student get used to mass data analysis whilst the vba component lets the student understand sequential program well.

VBA is a life saver at the moment especially working with data. ENGG1811 has taught me good problem solving skills and how to organise myself. I cannot express how important and well structured this subject is. Takes a lot of effort at first but it's a great subject nonetheless.

You can hardly understand the lecturer, you're better off learning the content yourself with the lecture slides. Though they are extremely useful skills.

This course is extremely useful. If I knew then when I was doing the course how useful it is, I would have put much more effort in. Using Excel is an invaluable skill. VBA, Access, and Telecommunications are also useful. If you do really well in this course (i.e. get a HD), then you will have a better chance of getting a job as a tutor for it with CSE. Excel is useful for many things such as data analysis. Access is useful for managing databases, and is a good foundation for learning other database programs such as SQL. VBA is also a good introduction to programming.
