Reviews
- lots of material on marketing concepts - a bit harsh with marking, but you will be fine if you put in your effort for notes and building understanding - tutor was fair and gave good marks - lots of videos and textbook and online activities to refine your understanding - personally not my cup of tea but still got 77

Pretty good course overall - lots of different little assignments which I didn't mind. Only thing I would complain about is the quizzes. The quizzes would sometimes ask really specific questions from a lecture that would be almost impossible to remember given the amount of content in the course & had barely any time to event think about it.

I really enjoyed this course!! Lectures were usually good, we had different guest speakers each week so sometimes they were good, sometimes not. I liked the tutorials, my tutor was really nice & facilitated some good discussions. You get participation marks in the tutorials which are really easy to earn as long as you know the content (just keep talking & you’ll surely get them, for the 2 marks I would just talk twice in each tutorial & I usually got full marks each time). The quizzes were hard just because the time limit was very restricting, my advice is to not dwell too long on any one question— choose your best guess & move on, you can come back to it later if you have time. I finished both quizzes & got good marks in both of them by doing this. The final 12 hour report was quite manageable but I felt that it was a bit subjective (“what would you recommend” for something was one of the questions if I recall correctly). You also have to do a group presentation which is a bit nerve wracking, but it’s just for questions from the textbook. Overall I thought it was a good course, very easy to keep up with the material. However, the assessments could be modified. I loved my tutor but felt the main lecturer should’ve been a bit more involved.

The lecturer lady was horrible, my tutor was more horrible. Quizzes are jokes (you would not be able to even finish the quizzes) No Lecture recording, No student discussion where you can ask questions, therefore no communication at all. How could they expect us to learn anything with this environment?

Did not even study for this course, easy marks and a wam booster

Pretty bland and boring, quizzes had 60 questions for 20 minutes which meant we were struggling to even finish the quiz let alone try and do well. The final report is subjective and there is a lot of group participation where the tutor will not tell you if you are doing an adequate amount of participation during class.

Simply understanding based and very helpful in the future. Just needs active participation in tutorials and individual critical analysis of concepts.Involves various case studies to grasp from

Loved it! The content was easy but linked to real life and could be applied practically in tutorials. The presentations were also really fun to participate in and give, and my tutor (Yasmina) was excellent in how she engaged the class and used her own experiences to teach us.

I thought this would be an excellent subject in order to get a glimpse at a future in marketing, however the course is very specific rather than broad, which you would expect of a first year course. The heavy focus on group work made the subject even worse, as if you are stuck with a bad group you will inevitably do poorly.

My tutor Seiya, is awesome and I love him. Razzak makes the lecture materials so easy to cover. He's 100%, well both of them are. The only thing is make sure you don't choose a shitty group because that may wreck you for the rest of the semester.
