Terribly run course. Lecture material needs to be rote learnt. They won't provide clear instructions on what they expect in the assignment. It may change year to year but they will only want you to focus on one methodological change. At least you reading this will be prepared. Also you won't get your marks back for your final essay which is worth 30%. Worst thing about this course: 5 hours of lecture material will be given to you as "online tutorials". It's basically the psychology department's deceitful way of getting around having a week 0.

Some of the course was well taught, but now that we are in 10 week terms, there is far too much lecture material to cover in that time frame. Biggest gripe is that one of the lecturers has a very, very heavy accent & is impossible to understand. They don't provide good enough lecture notes on his lectures either, they need to be direct transcripts rather than just notes. Because his English isn't great, & you spend all your time trying to understand what he is saying, you lose the learning opportunity in the lectures.

Most of the content is extremely boring and you need to just memorise tons of content

Similar to any other first/second year PSYC subject. Only notable difference was, the last series of lectures was more technical, moving towards the 'typical' science, with lots of memory required of the brain's function etc. Very achievable D/HD

Was really interesting to me, but I admit it's not everyone's cup of tea. Gets pretty technical compared to other psych courses

This course sparked my interest in psychobiology and I really enjoyed moving more into the biological side of psychology. Overall it was a great course
