This course gives a broad overview of sustainable energy technologies, but only covers each aspect fairly shallowly. Each week consists of a new topic with a different guest lecturer. A lot of the course information could be learnt from self-education online or in textbooks. Much of it is covered in later courses, such as problem solving in biomass (SOLA5052); and wind energy converters (SOLA5053). I don't recommend enrolling in this course. I have heard that SOLA2053 is a good course, and is like a step up from SOLA1070, but could be used as an alternative.
