This class was literally a rehash of HSC biology. I never went to a lecture and still got a distinction. to be honest it was a rather boring subject up until we learnt about the different types of photosynthesis and to be honest that was its saving grace. My lecturer was also the best, he was so Blasè.

Skeletal. pulminary, renal, nervous, respiratory etc - this is how it all works together in various animals and plants. Again, a LOT of information is delivered & the saving grace is the CAMPBELLS BIOLOGY text which has all the information for the three first year BIOLs. Labs are fun... dissections are social and interactive & nowhere near as bad as I thought they'd be. Another useful subject for many degrees.

The key is to read the chapter in Campbell Biology before your lecture, to gain background knowledge - otherwise it can be intense and dry (& very hard to relisten to lectures without snoozing). Labs in this subject have dissections (or equal alternative assessments). Like the other first year subjects, multiple choice and short answer finals.
