Description
The pitch drop experiment holds the world record for the longest running laboratory experiment. The experiment, created by Parnell in 1927 demonstrates the fluidity of pitch, a tar derivative that is the thickest know fluid in the world. Since 1927 only 9 drops have fallen from the funnel, with the last being in April 2014.
