The subject content might be a bit repetitive for anyone who has done accounting subjects in high school already. But it is a good subject to score on and get good grades as long as you keep up with the content well, practice the questions a few times and make sure you get the basic theories understood. Try not to miss any tutorials, the questions and discussions are actually quite helpful.

actually possible to score very well in this as long as you attempt some practice papers and follow the rules given for how to write up statements, making simple mistakes cause you to lose marks. focus of the course is on balance sheet, cash flow statement and income statement

Very easy for anyone with any kind of accounting experience - too easy, in fact, and quite boring. No need to attend tutorials if you are comfortable with the material; lectures and textbook cover everything.

Was a great course to do, helped me gain knowledge of Accounting without stress that you would usually have being in these courses (I'm talking to you math haters). If you've done the other financial and economic courses this course is a breeze as it has an easy connection to those. If I could do it again I would have done this course before the micro-economics course as it had the simple information from that.

This subject is a very basic accounting subject, so its inevitable that it won't be very exciting at times and this is definitely true. However, the subject lecturers and tutors both do a fantastic job of delivering the information. They tailor the course to make it VERY EASY for a person to complete the course with little worry and they basically spoon-feed everyone a 7 if you pay attention. This subject may not be the most exciting, but it certainly is a low stress subject thanks to the competent teaching staff.

It is quite a boring subject for those who have studied Accounting in high school but provides a very basic knowledge of accounting content. The assignment is a bit confusing with the changes in the course but the final exam is extremely easy if you watch the last few lectures and practice the questions from the textbook.

Good intro course especially if you've done accounting in high school. Lectures are quite slow and long but tutorials are very helpful. Assessment was as expected, no sneaky surprises.

ACCT1101 is an introductory course, and is very easy if you have already studied accounting in high school. You will get a better insight in how to create and interpret income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements. You will learn how to make decisions based on those statements.
